United States: Vice President JD Vance stated Wednesday that Russia is “asking for too much” to put an end to its war with Ukraine, going beyond reasonable limits.
This marks a new phase of frustration within the Trump White House regarding its peace talks with Moscow.
Frustration Grows Over Peace Talks
The Vice President attended the Munich Leaders Meeting in Washington and stated that the United States pursues lasting peace achievements because Russia refuses to comply with a 30-day truce demand.

The Trump administration shows a more confrontational stance toward Vladimir Putin by forcing Russia to agree to concessions.
“The Russians are asking for a certain set of requirements, a certain set of concessions in order to end the conflict. We think they’re asking for too much,” as Vance stated.
Vance Calls for Russia-Ukraine Agreement
Vance identified the Ukraine and Russia agreement about discussions as the following strategic objective.
According to Vance, “We would like both the Russians and the Ukrainians to actually agree on some basic guidelines for sitting down and talking to one another,” Politico.com reported.
“That is the next big step we’d like to take,” he added.
